It's a Man's World ~ James Brown

I started a new job. Much like all of the other jobs, I have no plans to discuss my job on this blog.
Life rule.

Except to say that at this job, I get to spend all day with Denzel (my laptop). And something about being able to use my personal prized possession at work is totally golden for me.

I will also say that I had forgotten how consuming it is to work full time (+1 part-time gig). I know, I know - you all work full time. It is ridiculous that this is even a thought that crosses my mind. But the thing is, I prioritize my life thusly: 1. All else. 2. Me. So anything that only affects me such as washing dishes, doing laundry, eating, and sleeping are always shoved into the little crevices of my life where I can not see them and have a tendency to just forget them all together. Until it is Tuesday and people are scheduled to come over and OH NO! PEOPLE MAY NOT ENTER THIS HOME! IT IS AN ABOMINATION!

And then you find yourself washing your dishes at someone else's house until after midnight.  (Yes. That happened. I do not know how.)

But I do really love my new job. So there's that.

  1. call me lazy {but not to my face} but i can't work a full time job. not if i want to live in a clean house or eat food that isn't microwave dinners...

  2. I won't call you lazy because I am in the same boat.

  3. you know that im with u on this, right megs? full time jobs are for people who dont have dishes to wash. i am just about ready to collapse.not from overwork alone but from the rancid stink of dirty dishes. i am completely with u in spirit.
    I M glad that u like your job. that's half the battle won.go megs. I hope u win a lottery though :-)
